Schedule

July 10

Rose Propagation

For this meeting we will talk about how to propagate roses from cuttings. Stems will be provided and trays of soil will be brought to plant the cuttings. Attendees should bring a pair of sharp pruners to the meeting to participate.

August 14

Rose Clinic

Gardeners are encouraged to bring in samples of their roses and show off blooms or discuss problems and get help to correct them. Samples of problems should be brought in a sealed plastic bag to avoid any contamination of plants at the botanic garden.

Sept 11

Home Visit

Last season we were scheduled to visit Maggie Sharp’s home and view the Roses from Scratch. We will do that this year. The plants for the English rose trials will also be available for viewing.

October 9

Winterizing Roses

We will be discussing the things to do to protect your roses over the winter. You will get all the information you need to bring your roses through our unpredictable cold season.
